The project concerns the northeastern section of the hospital complex, with an area of approximately 230 sq.m., along with its immediate surrounding area. It is being implemented as part of the hospital’s ongoing development and infrastructure upgrades, aimed at providing specialized healthcare services for children and adolescents.
  • It was deemed necessary to preserve, repurpose, and renovate the above-mentioned wing to meet the needs of the hospital’s mental health program. Specifically, the building will house the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Center, forming part of the collaboration between the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) and the Child Mind Institute (CMI) within the framework of the Health Initiative.
  • The facility will include reception and waiting areas for children, adolescents, and their families; examination rooms for consultations with child psychologists and psychiatrists; individual and shared workspaces for staff; as well as a kitchen and restrooms for both employees and visitors.
  • Additionally, the project will involve interventions in the immediate outdoor area to ensure the building’s functional integration with its surroundings, providing open-air spaces for relaxation and short-term stays for users.
